Wow!
This weekend, I participated in the Photography-On-The-Net Wedding Photography Meet, in Albany, NY. There were about 20 Wedding Photographers from all over North America - guys and gals from as far as Ottawa, Edmonton, and even Texas! We gathered at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY, and had a great weekend of sharing ideas and techniques, discussing styles and different business philosophies, and, of course, shooting!
We had three models meet up with us on Saturday, and we split into three groups and photographed our "brides", sharing ideas and teaching each other. It was incredible how 20 wedding photographers from 20 different backgrounds with 20 different styles can come together! So much teaching and learning was had by everyone!
I'll be adding photos throughout the next week, but, I'll post a few right now.
The group:
Some of my "bride" photos with our lovely brides:

Some "Behind the Scenes" photos:
Jamie shooting one of our models.
Jamie showing us his "secret" lampshade trick.
During Lloyd's off-camera lighting lesson, I setup my off cam flash and got this photo of Jess and one of our models during the couple's "first dance".
Jamie modeling.
Sebastien being a trooper and striking a pose in front of our cameras. I'm not looking forward to some of the other photos posted from this part of the shoot (you'll find out why)
Lloyd's INCREDIBLE bride-posing
So dramatic!
Behind the scenes of Lloyd's bride shoot.
He really does love this G9. He had off-camera flash going and the whole nine-yards.
Ohhhh yeah!

Mike and I had some fun with a Jess's wide angle lens (model: me, photographer: Mike):

A couple of the other's photos that I wanted to share:
One of the tables at lunch time. What a bunch of nerds!
Sebastien and my "first dance". Hey, someone had to do it!
First time holding the Canon 300 2.8L IS that one of the attendees had brought. This lens is about $8.5 thousand! I was in heaven!
All in all, I had an absolute BLAST and learned tons!
